Q: How can I accept VISA, MASTERCARD and other forms of payment on my site?
A: There are a few options for processing payments from your customers directly on your web site. The easiest and quickest way is to setup a Paypal account. Setting up a PayPal account will enable you to begin accepting credit card payments within minutes. Other options include linkpoint and authorize.net payment processing. These options will empower you to process credit cards using simple online methods or by custom programming your own system that resides on your web hosting account or dedicated server. Q: Will you place advertisements on my site?
A: Absolutely not. We will not place banner ads, pop-up ads, etc. on your website.

Q: Can I access my website without the www.?
A: Yes. You can access your website with or without the www.

Q: Do you host foreign domain names?
A: Yes. All domain names will work with SplitInfinity accounts.

Q: Does each account have its own raw log files?
A: Yes. You have access to your own raw log files.

Q: What are your server operating system specifications?
A: Our servers run the most current version of Red Hat Linux, Free BSD or Windows operating systems.

Q: What type of website security do you provide?
A: SplitInfinity customers are able to use our shared server-wide Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate at no additional cost.

Q: Can we password protect directories?
A: Yes. Each WebSite Manager has an easy-to-use, WebPassword PowerApp, which makes it possible to password-protect one or more directories with multiple users. Since it uses .htaccess, FrontPage users must use the password protection utility that comes with their software.

Q: Do you have anonymous FTP?
A: SplitInfinity.com offers the ability to add multiple accounts that act like anonymous FTP accounts. They allow users to upload and download files to their private directory. The only difference is each FTP account has it's own username and password.

Q: What services do you offer?
A: We provide fast, reliable Web Hosting, Dedicated Server, Co-Location, Security, Monitoring and Domain Registration services as well as a Reseller Program and an Affiliate Program.

Q: Do you offer dial-up Internet access?
A: No, our focus is hosting, co-location, dedicated servers and domain registration. You must acquire your own Internet access. We would suggest a provider that includes an SMTP service.

Q: Do you support SSH?
A: All accounts have Secure Shell (SSH) access.

Q: Do you have sendmail installed?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I have to have a domain name to sign up for a hosting plan?
A: No. You can register your domain name at the same time you sign up for your web hosting account.

Q: What kind of up-time do your servers have?
A: Well maintained equipment and a responsive server administration team keep our server up-time at around 99.9%, one of the highest in the industry.

Q: What type of database system do you support?
A: All of our plans come with a free MySQL database. Our shared servers do not support Cold Fusion. (Dedicated servers can be configured any way you like)

Q: What is web hosting?
A: In order for a website to be available on the web, it must be housed on a web server. Web hosts provide space on their servers to store website files and cgi scripts. Web hosting is like Internet real-estate. If you want to build a house, you need a place to build it and roads to get to it. Similarly, if you want to build a website, you need server space to store your files and bandwidth to access your site.

Q: Do you offer Telnet?
A: We offer Secure Socket Layer (SSH), which provides the same functionality as telnet, but compresses and encrypts the connection.
